Switzerland:
Switzerland is the richest country in the world. A small, beautiful, mountainous country in the middle of Europe, it's got its act together economically, politically, socially, and environmentally. Switzerland is well set up for tourism, although in recent years, fewer people have been travelling there because of the high cost. Hostels, grocery stores and bakeries, and hitch hiking are the way to beat these costs. In winter, skiers go to Switzerland for the great skiing in the Alps, and the same mountains are excellent destinations for hikers and climbers in the summer. Numerous lakes make for good water sports activities, and the villages and towns are often very picturesque. The MacDonald's in Geneva serves the best burgers in Europe. You can swim in Lake Geneva, right downtown, but the water is cold. Eighteen per cent of the land in Switzerland is officially protected, and you'll never see any nasty sights such as garbage in the streets.
Switzerland is made up of three main ethnic groups: German, French and Italian. In various parts of the country, these three languages are spoken. The Swiss are ultra clean, and yes, everything is always on time. The education and health systems are top notch, and crime rates are low. However, Switzerland tends to get a fair share of dirty, crime-created money from abroad, as its banking laws are tight with secrets.
