Estonia:

Estonia is a small country on the Baltic Sea, inhabited by Finno-Urgric peoples whose language is related to Finnish and Hungarian. The land of Estonia is flat, boggy and swampy, and partly wooded with pine forests. The capital city of Tallinn--which has a well preserved Medieval centre-- attracts Scandinavian tourists, especially from Finland. The ruins of ancient castles picturesquely dot the countryside, and mud baths attract health seekers. Yachting is also popular.

As for environmental concerns, Estonia has kept them at the forefront. It was, in fact, the Soviet plans to expand mining of phosphorous in the polluted northeast that spurred on the independence movement. The crime rate in Estonia is relatively low, the health system is better than in other former Soviet republics, and the standard of living is also better. Estonia has a pro-capitalist government that is committed to growth.
