Equatorial Guinea:

This is a tiny country on the west coast of Africa, between Cameroon and Gabon. As well as the mainland, it comprises five small islands in the Atlantic, including the very mountainous Malabo, with its 3,000-metre peak. This island is a place for the adventurous, as the scenery and climbing and hiking possibilities are spectacular. For lazier types, there are also some decent beaches. The mainland of Equatorial Guinea is hot and humid, with coastal mangroves and interior rainforests that are being chopped down for timber.

The people, who are Roman Catholic, are poor, and there's only a very small wealthy class. The government is making attempts to improve health care and education. Equatorial Guinea was a Spanish colony until 1968, so Spanish is the official language still. But most of the people are Fang, the same tribe that lives in Cameroon and northern Gabon.
