Bangladesh:

Bangladesh is a troubled country with a low literacy level, severe health problems, and widespread poverty. Every year, floods caused by cyclones wipe out hundreds of villages, killing residents and making others homeless.

Still, check out where some of your clothes and household goods are made these days: Bangladesh. The textile industry is healthy, and there's even a small electronics industry. The gap between the rich and the poor is narrower than in neighbouring countries such as India, and women are involved in industry and politics.

Major tourist attractions are the mogul architecture in Dhaka and the Pala dynasty (7th-10th century) city of Sonargaon. Bangladesh is densely populated, with most people living in the countryside. So village life is dynamic and interesting.
