Note:
you can get a lot more minimalist by eliminating such things
as skin lotion, book, and reef shoes. This list comprises the
most basic items needed, plus a few extras to add to your comfort.
Some hardcore backpackers go into the back country for 1 or 2
nights without a tent, sleeping bag, or stove. They eat food
that doesn't need to be cooked, sleep in all their clothes, and
use a space blanket for extra warmth......
